The Saint Peter's University men's soccer team continues the 2021 campaign as they visit Big East opponent Providence for a 1 p.m. kickoff this Sunday, August 29.

The Peacocks are coming off a heartbreaking loss at the hands of NEC foe Mount St. Mary's, losing 2-1 in overtime.

Saint Peter's will look to right the ship in this one, as they haven't lost the first two games of a season since 2018.
Series with the Friars

This will be only the second installment between the Peacocks and the Friars and the first that takes place in the regular season.

The two teams met back in the 2010 season during the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The game saw the Friars come away victorious by a score of 6-2.

During that 2010 season, the Peacocks were both the MAAC Regular Season and Tournament Champions, posting a 7-1-1 record in conference play and a 13-6-1 record overall.

Senior midfielder and captain Jamie Davis opened up the scoring in the 2021 season for the Peacocks by scoring a free kick from over 30 yards out at Mount St. Mary's.

Davis isn't shy to put his name into the scoresheet, as he has scored four goals in his career and provided 12 assists, amassing 20 points in a Peacock uniform.
