Opening Word:
  • The Saint Peter's University men's soccer team will hit the road for the first time this season as they prepare to travel north toward Albany for a matchup with Siena on Thursday, April 1 at 3 p.m.
  • The Peacocks will look to continue their impressive performance to start the 2020-21 campaign, after recently knocking off top-ranked Quinnipiac 3-2 in overtime at Jaroschak Field on March 29.
  • The win extended the program's regular season home-game winning streak to seven games, as the team also secured its 11th straight regular season victory against Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) opponents.
  • The game against the Bobcats went into extra minutes for the second straight year, but the Peacocks were able to pull out the win this time around off the boot of senior defender Anton Moore
  • Moore was able to find the back of the net against Quinnipiac in the 99th minute after a double assist from classmate Tom Coulson and junior Jamie Davis, with the play originating off a free kick from Davis.
  • The Peacocks now stand as one of only two undefeated teams in the MAAC, as fellow Garden State member Rider also holds a 2-0 record.
Series with the Saints:
  • Saint Peter's will look to narrow the gap in the all-time series against Siena on Thursday to just one game, as the Peacocks enter the match with an overall record of 13-15-3 when playing the Saints.
  • The two sides faced off in last year's regular season finale in Jersey City, as the Peacocks secured a 2-1 overtime victory over their foes from Loudonville on Nov. 2, 2019.
  • The last time the Peacocks won at Hickey Field was on October 8, 2006, when the men finished 2-1 over the Saints.
  • The series has proven to be a back-and-forth affair over the past 10 regular season meetings, with the Saints holding a slight 5-4-1 advantage.
  • In those 10 matchups, neither side has earned a victory on the road.
Up Next
  • The Peacocks return to the Garden State for their annual Senior Day game, where they will take on Niagara on Saturday, April 3 at 4 p.m.
