  • Saint Peter's men's basketball and hOURglass Rival Monmouth will meet in a highly anticipated meeting on Sunday, Feb. 9 at 2 p.m.
  • The outcome of the contest will have a heavy impact on the MAAC standings with first-place on the line.
  • After winning four straight games, Saint Peter's had its streak snapped on Friday night, dropping its MAAC record to 7-5 and placing the Peacocks back into a three-way tie for second place.

hOURglass Battle
  • Saint Peter's and Monmouth will clash for the 42nd time since 1963-64, and for the 15th time as hOURglass rivals dating back to 2013-14.
  • Saint Peter's leads the all-time series against Monmouth 26-15 but the hOURglass Rivalry series remains knotted at 7-7.
  • The Peacocks ended a two-game skid to the Hawks on Jan. 29, topping the New Jersey rival 66-63.
  • Saint Peter's led for 35:42 in the win with Aaron Estrada (11), Daryl Banks III (10) and Dallas Watson (10) all scoring in double figures.
  • In games played in West Long Branch, the Peacocks are 2-4 during the rivalry.
  • Saint Peter's last win at Monmouth came back on Jan. 14, 2015 when the Peacocks edged the Hawks, 62-61.

Majur Blocks
  • Sophomore center Majur Majak blocked a career-high five shots at Marist on Friday.
  • The five blocks in the game tied for fourth best on the MAAC single-game leaderboard this season.
  • Over the past three games, Majak has compiled a team-leading nine total blocked shots and he has jumped to sixth place on the MAAC leaderboard in the category.
 
MAAC Marathon
  • The 2019-20 men's basketball conference season has been one of the tightest league races in recent history. 
  • Heading into the weekend, five teams are within one game of first place with every team having at least eight conference games left.
  • Additionally, all 11 MAAC squads have at least four wins and four losses --- since the 2006-07 season, the most losses by a MAAC regular season champion was six defeats.
