Things to Know Before Friday's Duel
Series History
  • Saint Peter's and Marist will meet in the series' 57th installment dating back to 1980-81 and the 54th meeting since Marist joined the league during the 1997-98 season.
  • The Peacocks lead the Red Foxes 33-23 all-time and 31-22 with both as MAAC members.
  • Saint Peter's has dominated the series in recent years, taking nine of the last 10 contests from Marist, including a current four game winning streak.
  • In the first meeting of the season at the Yanitelli Center, the Peacocks pummeled the Red Foxes, 66-40. The win is still the largest margin of victory for Saint Peter's this season and the 40 points allowed are the lowest by any MAAC team in a conference game on the year.
  • Despite the lopsidedness in the series, the Peacocks are 3-5 in Poughkeepsie since 2011-12 and the team's last four losses in the series have come at Marist.
Home Sweep
  • For just the sixth time since the inaugural MAAC season in 1981-82, Saint Peter's completed a four-game MAAC home stand.
  • The Peacocks posted a perfect 4-0 record during the stretch, a feat that the program had only achieved once in the prior five tries, matching the 2015-16 team.
  • Following this season's four-game MAAC home stanza, Saint Peter's holds an all-time mark of 14-10 during the timeframe.

Prosperous Peacocks
  • Saint Peter's enters the week as the hottest unit in the MAAC, currently on a conference-leading four-game winning streak and first-place tie in the standings.
  • Since Jan. 18, the Peacocks have won five out of six games (4-0 at home) and posted a league-best seven MAAC wins entering the new week.
  • Through the six games, the Peacocks have posted conference-bests marks of a +7.7 scoring margin and 61.7 points per game allowed, while leading for at least 32 minutes in five of the six contests.

Fantastic Four Freshmen
  • On Feb. 3, freshman guard Aaron Estrada was named as the MAAC Pepsi Zero Rookie of the Week.
  • Estrada became the fourth individual Peacock this season to garner MAAC Rookie of the Week honors, joining classmates Daryl Banks III (Jan. 6), Fousseyni Drame (Dec. 16), and Hassan Drame (Dec. 23 and Jan. 20), as honorees.
  • The quartet joins the 2015-16 Fairfield University team as the only other MAAC program in recent history with four separate individual rookie weekly award winners.

Next Up
  • The men and hOURglass Rival Monmouth will meet in a highly anticipated meeting on Sunday, Feb. 9 with the top spot in the conference rankings on the line.
  • Sunday's tip is set for 2 p.m. in West Long Branch.
