  • Saint Peter's men's basketball will round out the 2020 calendar year with a non-conference matchup against St. Francis Brooklyn on Wednesday, Dec. 23.

  • The Peacocks (3-1) remained atop the MAAC standings following a weekend split with Monmouth University, sitting in a three-way tie with Iona and Marist.
  • Saint Peter's and Monmouth swapped victories in the series, each winning by an identical 78-76 score.

Series History
  • For the sixth consecutive campaign and 63rd overall time since 1936-37, Saint Peter's and St. Francis Brooklyn will be across the court from one another.
  • The Peacocks hold a 35-27 all-time lead over the Terriers, having won four out of the last five contests since the rivalry has become an annual occurrence.
  • Saint Peter's has dominated the series in recent history, owning a commanding 12-3 advantage in the series since 1982.
  • In 2019, the Peacocks extended their home winning streak against the Terriers to 14 games dating back to 1968-69, earning a 67-59 win in Jersey City on Nov. 30.
  • Last time the two sides did battle in Brookly was on Dec. 15, 2018, with Saint Peter's falling in a heartbreaking 56-53 defeat --- the only series win for St. Francis Brooklyn during the annual rivalry since 2015.
  • When facing St. Francis in Brooklyn, Saint Peter's is 4-3 since 1981-82.
Starting Off on the Right Foot
  • For the 10th time in program history, Saint Peter's is out to a 3-1 conference start.
  • The 3-1 mark is good for a first-place tie on the MAAC Standings and it's the best Peacock record through the first four games since 2015-16.
  • During the program's last two MAAC Championship runs (1995 and 2011), the Peacocks also began league play 3-1.
"Chicks Dig the Long Ball"
  • The Peacocks had no issues letting the long ball fly against Monmouth last weekend, connecting on 21 total triples during the pair of contests --- the most made three-pointers over a two-game MAAC stretch for Saint Peter's since 2017-18.
  • Moreover, Saint Peter's ranks first in the league in made threes (31) and three-pointers per game (7.8), while ranking second in three-point field goal percentage (.356).

  • Saint Peter's will resume its MAAC slate in the New Year with road series at Canisius on Jan 1-2. The teams will meet in Western New York at 1pm both days.
