  • The Peacocks return to Jersey City after a brief road trip, welcoming Canisius College on Sunday, Jan. 12 at 1p.m.
  • Saint Peter's conference record sits at 2-1 following Thursday's defeat at Siena.
  • The 2-1 mark puts the Peacocks in a third-place tie with Manhattan on the MAAC standings.
  • Against Siena, Saint Peter's fell short of handing the Saints their first home defeat of the season, falling 61-58 in the contest.
  • Despite cutting the game to one possession with 2:31 left, the Peacocks failed to make a field goal down the stretch leading to the setback.

  • Saint Peter's and Canisius have faced each other 81 times previously, with the Peacocks trailing 35-46 all-time since 1931-32.
  • Since the 1989-90 season, when Canisius joined the MAAC, the Peacocks trail the Golden Griffins 29-35 in the series.
  • In spite of the teams splitting the past eight meetings, Saint Peter's has dropped three in a row to Canisius.
  • The last win in the series for the Peacocks came in the quarterfinal round of the 2017 MAAC tournament, when Saint Peter's ended Canisius' season with a 61-58 victory.

  • Since the start of the 2019-20 ledger, Saint Peter's has improved its performance in each home game.
  • After losing the season opener to Bryant by double-figures and then falling in overtime to Wagner, the Peacocks have reeled off three straight wins at the Yanitelli Center --- outdoing themselves in each game. 
  • Over the three consecutive wins against St. Francis Brooklyn, Fairleigh Dickinson, and Marist, the Peacocks have won by 8, 16, and 26 points in ascending order.

  • On the defensive side of the ball, the squad has the MAACs top ranked scoring defense (58.3 points allowed per game) and field goal percentage defense (.396) --- additionally, they rank third in blocked shots, fourth in forced turnovers, and fifth in steals.
  • On the glass, the unit leads the conference in offensive rebounds (12.7 per game) and offensive rebound percentage (.362) --- on the overall season, the Peacocks are ranked fifth nationally in offensive rebounds per game (14.58).
