Things to Know Before Saturday's Meeting
Series History with Terriers
  • Saint Peter's and St. Francis Brooklyn will battle for the fifth consecutive year and 62nd overall meeting in the all-time series since 1936-37.
  • The Peacocks hold a 34-27 all-time mark against the Terriers, having won three out of the last four contests since 2015.
  • Since 1968-69, Saint Peter's is a perfect 13-0 against St. Francis Brooklyn in Jersey City.
  • In last season's meeting, the Peacocks suffered a heartbreaking 56-53 defeat in Brooklyn after giving up the lead in the second half for the first and only time with 13.3 second left in the game.
  • Saint Peter's has not lost in back-to-back games against St. Francis Brooklyn dating all the way back to the 1950s, when the team dropped consecutive meetings during the 1955-56 and 1956-57 seasons.

Ending the Scoring Slump
  • Against Wagner last Wednesday, the Peacocks scored over 50 points for the first time this regular season and had four men score in double-figures. Doug Edert (18), Matthew Lee (16), Derrick Woods (11), and KC Ndefo (10) all surpassed 10 points.
  • The Peacocks' 77 points were more than the MAAC's best scoring team's average (Siena, 76.4 points per game) and it was 31.5 points higher than Saint Peter's scoring average through two games (45.5 points per game).
  • Ironically, Wednesday's game against Wagners was also the first time Saint Peter's had four players in double-digits since facing St. Francis Brooklyn last year on Dec. 15 when Quinn Taylor scored 12 points, Dallas Watson scored 11 points, and the alum duo of Davauhnte Turner (19) and Samuel Idowu (11) all went over 10 points.

Return of the Block Party
  • With the return of the league's best shot blocker in KC Ndefo, the Peacocks swatted six shots against Wagner and Ndefo led the frontcourt with a game-high five individual blocks.
  • The five blocks by Ndefo were tied for the most by a MAAC player in a single-game this season and the six blocked shots by the team were tied for the second most in a game by a MAAC team.

Dominance against the NEC
  • Saint Peter's will meet five Northeast Conference (NEC) opponents in 2019-20. The Peacocks have already met Bryant (11/13) and Wagner (11/20), and will face Fairleigh Dickinson (12/11), and LIU (12/22) additionally this season after Saturday's game with St. Francis Brooklyn.
  • Against the current NEC, Saint Peter's holds an all-time record of 150-90 and the program has an all-time record of .500 or better against 9 of the 11 NEC schools.

Next Up
  • The Peacocks open up the December ledger with a road game at St. John's University.
  • The Metropolitan institutions will play on Tuesday, Dec. 3 in Queens, NY at 6:30 p.m.
