  • The Saint Peter's University men's soccer team returns to Jersey City on Wednesday (Oct. 9) at 3 p.m. to face off against hOURglass rival Rider in the Peacocks' first MAAC home game of 2019.
  • The Peacocks secured their first conference win this past Saturday in dramatic fashion against Fairfield after a 4-3 overtime victory.
  • The match saw goals from three different Peacocks, including Tom Coulson, Dominic Laws and Omar Seghiri.
  • Coulson opened things up for Saint Peter's, scoring the first goal of the day off a loose ball in the sixth minute of the match.
  • Laws put on a show against the Stags, notching two goals at 23' and 58' and an assist which led to the game-winning goal in the 94th minute.
  • Seghiri was the hero on Saturday, burying the golden goal off the helper from Laws to lift the Peacocks over the Stags for their first conference win of the season.
History with the Broncs
  • Wednesday's match marks the 34th meeting between the Peacocks and the Broncs having first met in 1964.
  • All-time, Saint Peter's holds a 13-19-1 record against Rider, which includes a pair of playoff matches in 1999 and 2003.
  • The last meeting between the hOURglass rivals came on Oct. 24, 2018, in which the Peacocks posted a 1-0 road win.
