Starting Off

The Saint Peter's University men's soccer team will head north this weekend to take on Fairfield University on Saturday, Oct. 5 at 3 p.m.
The Peacocks opened their conference schedule against Quinnipiac on Wednesday, falling to the Bobcats in double overtime, 2-1. It was the program's first overtime game of the season.
Junior midfielder Alex Garcia scored the lone goal for the Peacocks in the match, finding the back of the net in the final minute of regulation after an assist from Jordan Jowers.

Series with the Stags

The Peacocks and Stags have a long history together, first meeting in 1964.
Since the first clash between the two sides nearly 55 years ago, the Saint Peter's holds an 18-26-5 record against Fairfield.
The last meeting between the longtime MAAC foes saw Fairfield take home the 1-0 victory in Jersey City.
The men will be looking for their first win in the series since 2012, when the Peacocks defeated the Stags, 2-, at home.
