The Saint Peter's University men's soccer team returns to Jersey City tomorrow (Oct. 30) afternoon to host Manhattan in a 2 p.m. matchup.
The Peacocks will look to maintain their perfect record at home this season, which now stands at 4-0, including three conference wins against Canisius, Iona and Rider. The Peacocks can potentially clinch the MAAC regular season title and lock up the top seed in the playoffs on Wednesday.
Saint Peter's has now extended its historic conference win streak to seven after defeating Niagara, 2-1, on the road this past Saturday night.
In that win over the Purple Eagles, junior forward Dominic Laws struck quickly for Saint Peter's, scoring within the third minute of the first half, off a double assist from junior midfielder Jordan Jowers and sophomore midfielder Jamie Davis.
Saint Peter's would add to its lead off the boot of Jowers in the 54th minute following a beautiful cross from freshman midfielder Omar Seghiri.
After conceding one goal in the 79th minute, the Peacocks would maintain the one goal advantage for the last 10 minutes to seal the 1-0 victory over the Purple Eagles.
After a three goal performance last week, Laws was voted as the MAAC Wilson Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season.

History with the Jaspers

The two sides will meet on the pitch for the 44th match in the history of the programs on Wednesday afternoon.
The Peacocks hold a 30-12-1 advantage over the Jaspers following the first meeting between the two sides on Sept. 24, 1977.
During the last clash between the Peacocks and the Jaspers, Saint Peter's took the 1-0 victory in the Bronx on Sept. 29, 2018.

The Peacocks remain in Jersey City for their Senior Day match against Siena on Saturday, Nov. 2, during which the team will honor lone senior Frederik Lindqvist.
