Women’s Volleyball Concludes Play at the Denver Invitational

The team fell to University of Denver (0-3), and in their final game of the day they lost to FDU (0-3)

DENVER, CO - The Saint Peter's women's volleyball team finished up the weekend at the Denver Invitational, losing to host Denver and FDU.
 
Game Notes vs. University of Denver:
  • The Peacocks (2-10) came up short in the first match of the day against Denver falling in straight sets (7-25) (9-25) (11-25). 
Game Notes vs. FDU: 
  • The Peacocks (2-11) fell to Fairleigh Dickinson in the final match of the day 
  • Their first set was a nail biter but the Peacocks came up just short, falling 26-24.
  • The final two sets of the match, the Peacocks lost, 8-25, and 23-25. 
Inside the Numbers:
  • In the first game against Denver, Natalia Velez posted four kills.
  • Alanis Alvarado finished with five digs.
  • Carolina Ruiz had four digs in the match.
  • In the second game against FDU, Alvarado finished with a team high 11 kills.
  • Angeleyshka Curbelo had six kills.
  • Velez and Alexus Sharp each finished with five kills in the match.
  • Wildalys Soto helped the team with 20 assists.
  • Karla Seda had the most digs, finishing with 11.
  • Alvarado was right behind her with seven digs.
