JERSEY CITY, NJ – Trailing by as many as 13 points late in the second half, the Saint Peter's men's basketball team rallied back to earn a 93-86 overtime thrilling win over the Lafayette Leopards on Wednesday night. Four Peacocks scored in double figures, while two recorded double-doubles to help the team get first year head coach

- Saint Peter's, led by Davauhnte Turner, opened the game with five straight points, before the Peacocks relinquished the lead by giving up seven unanswered points to Lafayette.
- Lafayette held onto the lead and extended it to as much as nine points before the under 12-minute media break.
- Still trailing by three, freshman KC Ndefo drove to the basket and put down a rim rocking dunk over a Lafayette defender to cut the deficit to one point with 3:13 on the clock.
- The Leopards closed out the half scoring eight of the final 10 points to lead the Peacocks 40-33 at the break.
- In the second half, Lafayette jumped on the Peacocks, pushing their lead to double-figures by the 17:02 point.
- The lead was maintained and with as little as eight minutes left, the Peacocks found themselves behind by 13 points.
- Trailing by 12 (71-59) with 7:09 remaining, Turner sparked a 16-6 Saint Peter's run that he led by way of three critical baskets.
- Now just down two, Ndefo put down his second monster slam dunk of the night while also getting fouled, completing the and-one to give Saint Peter's its first lead since 18:52 in the first half of the game.
- A Lafayette basket knotted the game at 79-79 with 21 seconds left.
- With one final possession and the shot clock off, Turner missed a jumper at the top of the key, sending the game into overtime.
- In the extra period, Saint Peter's would double-up Lafayette in the period, outscoring them 14-7 to bring home the 93-86 victory.
Inside the Numbers
- Turner scored a team-high 25 points and added eight assists and six rebounds to his stat line.
- Ndefo and redshirt-junior guard Cameron Jones both recorded their first career double-doubles.
- Ndefo scored 16 points while grabbing 10 boards and Jones added 15 points with 10 rebounds.
- Samuel Idowu was the final Peacock in double figures, totaling 15 points on an efficient night, going 5-for-6 from the field, 3-for-3 from beyond the arc, and 2-for-2 from the charity stripe.
- Freshman guard Dallas Watson also added eight points off the bench in his collegiate debut for Saint Peter's.
- Lafayette's Justin Jaworski led the Leopards with a game-high 28 points.
