MAAC Championship First Round
  • No. 6 Saint Peter's travels to No. 3 Marist on Sunday, November 4 for the first round of the 2018 MAAC Championship.
  • Kickoff is set for 5 p.m. in Poughkeepsie, NY.
  • The Saint Peter's men's soccer team secured the sixth and final spot into the MAAC Championship field on the final day of the regular season, following Manhattan's 1-0 defeat at Fairfield.
  • The Peacocks clinched a postseason berth into the six-team field for the first time since 2010, which was also the last time Saint Peter's won the MAAC Championship title.
  • This is the Peacocks' first trip to the postseason since 2015, when all 11 MAAC members qualified for the tournament at ESPN Wide World of Sports in Orlando, FL.
  • Saint Peter's put together a strong second half of the season, going five straight games unbeaten, from October 6 to October 24.
  • During the stretch, the Peacocks drew with Iona (Oct. 6), then knocked off Niagara 4-1 (Oct. 13), and then shut out Monmouth 4-0 (Oct. 17), Canisius 1-0 (Oct. 20), and Rider 1-0 (Oct. 24).
  • The streak came to an end with two straight losses to Fairfield and Siena.
  • Dominic Laws remains the team leader with 19 points from a team-high eight goals and three assists.
  • Jordan Jowers sits in second with seven goals and one assist for 15 points.
  • Frederik Lindqvist follows with five goals and two assists for 12 points.
  • Marco Torino is fourth on the team with nine points on four goals and one assist.
  • Wilber Nunez rounds out the leaderboard with one goal and four assists.
  • Jamie Davis is tied with Nunez as the team leaders with assists each.
  • Tom Coulson and Matt Hoyt both have scored one goal on the year.
Peacocks Postseason History
  • Saint Peter's is making its 10th appearance into the MAAC Championship since 1994.
  • This is the third appearance overall under Julian Richens, but the first in which the team had to qualify.
  • The first two trips came in 2011 and 2015, on seasons that all 11 teams make the playoffs.
  • Richens will be seeking his first postseason win.
  • The Peacocks are 8-8 all-time in MAAC postseason play.
  • Against Marist in the playoffs, Saint Peter's is 0-1, having fallen to the Red Foxes 2-1 in the 2004 tournament.
  • Saint Peter's has made the championship match four times in program history, going 2-2, with titles in 2003 and 2010, while falling in 2006 and 2007.
  • The Peacocks have made the NCAA Championship three times, twice as automatic qualifiers (2003 and 2010) and once as an at large bid (2007).
  • The Peacocks are 1-3 in the NCAA tournament, having earned a 2-0 shutout win over Brown in 2003.
Scout/History against Marist
  • The third seeded Marist Red Foxes begin postseason action with a 7-5-4 overall record.
  • The Red Foxes capped off the season with a 3-0 shutout win over Niagara to claim the No. 3 seed.
  • Marist last made the postseason in 2016 where the team lost in the first round.   
  • Saint Peter's trails Marist 15-16-1 all-time.
  • When Saint Peter's and Marist met in the MAAC opener on September 26, Marist picked up a 2-0 win over the Peacocks, taking the series lead in the previously deadlocked all-time record.
  • The Red Foxes own a four-game winning streak over the Peacocks.
  • Saint Peter's last topped Marist on October 18, 2014, winning 2-1 in overtime.

  • If the Peacocks win, the team will advance to the semifinal round of the MAAC Championship for a meeting with No. 1 Fairfield on Thursday, November 8.
Three-Straight Clean Sheets
  • The Peacocks recorded three-straight clean sheet wins for the first time since the 2010 season from October 17 to 24.
Julian's Best
  • The Peacocks' eight overall wins and five MAAC wins are the most in a regular season under head coach Julian Richens.
Back-to-Back
  • The Peacocks scored four goals in back-to-back contests against Niagara (Oct. 13) and Monmouth (Oct. 17).
  • This was the first time that a Peacock squad scored four goals in consecutive games since 2007 when the team defeated Rider 4-3 in overtime on October 19 and then followed it up with a 4-0 shutout win over Loyola two days later on October 21.
MAAC Weekly Honors  
  • Freshman Jason Dubrovich was picked as the MAAC Defensive Player and Rookie of the Week for the week of October 22 after leading the Peacocks to two shutout wins.
  • Junior Frederik Lindqvist was selected as the MAAC Offensive Player of the Week for the week of September 24 after he scored two goals and handed out one assist, leading to a 1-0 week.  
  • Sophomore Marco Torino was named as the MAAC Offensive Player of the Week for the week of September 17 after his two-goal week leading the Peacocks to a 1-0-1 record.
  • This is the first season since 2013 that the program has had three separate players win a weekly award and the first time since 2014 that the program has had two MAAC Offensive Player of the Weeks in the same season.
  • Sophomore Dominic Laws was named as the MAAC Pepsi Male Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of September 17.
Peter Baldwin Memorial Classic All-Tournament Team
  • Sophomore Dominic Laws and senior Wilber Nunez were named to the Peter Baldwin Memorial Classic All-Tournament Team after their stellar play in the two contests in September.
  • Laws led the Peacocks in the tournament with two goals scoring the game-winning goal versus CCSU and the lone goal against FDU.
  • Nunez logged the game-tying tally against CCSU.
