Women’s Volleyball Beats FDU in Five Sets on the Road

The Peacocks beat the Knights (3-2) in five tense matches to earn the win

HACKENSACK, NJ: Women's Volleyball won in a close match against Fairleigh Dickinson on Wednesday evening. They went through five nail biting sets, winning the first (26-24), the third (28-26), and the fifth (15-11) set. 
 
Game Notes vs. FDU: 
  • The Peacocks (5-16, 2-5 MAAC), defeated FDU in five tights sets (26-24) (16-25) (28-26) (23-25) (15-11).
  • The Peacocks were able to come out on top in a close first and third set by winning by just two points. 
  • FDU forced a fifth set by taking set four.
  • In the deciding set, the Peacocks closed it out (15-11) to take the win.
Inside the Numbers:
  • Karen Ramiu had a team high 20 kills.
  • Alanis Alvarado recorded her sixth double double of the season finishing with 13 kills and 25 digs. 
  • Angeleyshka Curbelo was just shy of a double double finishing with nine kills and a season high 21 digs. 
  • Karla Seda added 25 digs in the match. 
  • Angelee Ng dished out a season high 49 assists to help earn the win.
