Opening word

The Saint Peter's men's and women's indoor track and field teams will compete in the Metropolitan Championships on Friday. The competition is scheduled to start at 12pm.

Last Time Out

At the Gotham Cup Meredith Przybocki improved her high jump leap to 1.65m. Ashe Davis qualified for the METS in the 200m race with a time of 26.32. For the Men Jermaine Lascelles notched the conference leading time in the 400m with a time of 49.38.

about the Coach… Phyllis Anderson has taken on the role as Head Coach of the Saint Peter's cross country and track and field teams. Anderson has guided multiple MAAC individual champions in 2015-16 at the league's indoor and outdoor track and field championships. She has built A. Philip Randolph High School track and field program into a powerhouse leading them to nearly 20 consecutive Manhattan borough championships along with multiple indoor and outdoor New York City titles. Anderson has coached multiple Olympians, including gold medalist Natasha Hastings (Team USA 2008) and Barbara Selkridge (Antigua, 1988). Anderson holds a bachelor's degree from Queens College (NY) and a master's degree from City College of New York. Anderson is a recent inductee into the Armory Coaches Hall of Fame.

Joining the team is assistant coach, Rudy Thompson. Recently he coached at George Washington High School since 2012. He specializes in sprints, distance, along with field events, discus, pole vault, and shot put. Thompson earned a bachelor's degree from North Carolina A&T and a master's degree from Brooklyn College. In addition, he has also completed an advanced certificate at Brooklyn college and course work towards a masters at Touro College.
