Box Score JERSEY CITY, NJ – The Saint Peter's women's soccer team fell to hOURglass rival, Rider University, 2-0, on Wednesday night. The Peacocks fall to 0-2 in MAAC play. The Peacocks have now dropped five straight matches to Rider.
The shutout loss is the fourth straight for the Peacocks, as the team falls to 1-6-1. Rider had a 16-to-5 shot advantage over Saint Peter's. Peacock goalkeepers Taylor McLean had five saves, while the team was led by Genesis Castrellon who had two shots on goal.
Rider's goals came from Kourtney Cunningham and Heather Maierle in the win. The Broncs improve their league best overall record to 6-2-2 and perfect 3-0 MAAC mark.
The Peacocks are back in action on Saturday, October 1 when they travel to the third of the hOURglass rival trio, Monmouth.
