Word on the Highlanders… The Highlanders hold an overall record of 4-6, with wins over St. Francis (PA), Morgan State, Fordham, and St. Francis Brooklyn.

Last Time We Met… Saint Peters was defeated by the Highlanders 3-0 (25-18, 25-17, 25-22) on Oct. 14, 2015. Marlena Budna posted 6 kills and added 7 digs and Kaitlyn Sitton with 6 digs.

GAME2: Saint Peter's (0-3) @ Fordham (5-5)

WHEN: Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2016, 7pm

Word on the Rams… The Rams opened their season with three of five wins against MAAC opponents  (Iona, Manhattan, and Quinnipiac). They also added wind over Lehigh and Presbyterian.

Last Time We Met… Fordham defeated the Peacocks 3-1 by the score of (25-20, 25-23, 24-26) on Sept. 15, 2015. Saint Peter's, Amanda Colombo added 10 kills, Marlena Budna followed with 8 kills and Kaitlyn Sitton posted 37 assists in the loss.

Last Time Out... Saint Peter's competed in the Bethlehem Crosstown tournament falling to Providence, Lehigh, and Lafayette. Team leaders included Amanda Colombo with 14 kills, and 19 digs, Danielle Lopez follows with 13 kills, and 23 digs, Carolina Ruiz with 24 digs overall. Ruiz made the Crosstown All-Tournament Team.

Next up… Saint Peter's will open up its home and MAAC slate, hosting the Connecticut schools in Fairfield Sept. 17th, and Quinnipiac Sept. 18th. The Peacocks will then welcome non-conference foe NJIT on Sept. 20th in a rematch contest.

About the CoachMonica Dempsey served as the head volleyball coach for the Sideout Sports Volleyball Club in Fairfield, N.J., since 2013. Dempsey still plays competitively both  indoor and beach volleyball. Dempsey was a four-year starter on the Goldey-Beacom women's volleyball team from 2009-12. She recorded 1,926 career assists, 1,209 digs and 470 kills in her collegiate career. As a three-year team captain, she led the team in assists all four years and ranked second on the team in digs in all four of her campaigns.
