EWING, N.J. – Michael Marcano (Roselle, N.J./Roselle Catholic) and Jermaine Lascelles (Bloomfield, Conn./Bloomfield) each recorded a third-place standing to pace the Saint Peter's track and field team at the Lions Invitational on Saturday.
Marcano posted a third-place standing in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.11 while Lascelles finished third in the 400-meter dash with a time of 48.23.
Nkosi Pile (Atlanta, Ga./The Church Farm) placed fourth in the 200-meter dash (22.21) and fifth in the 100-meter dash (11.13) while Dexter Valley (West Orange, N.J./West Orange) finished seventh in the 400-meter dash (49.43). The men's 4x400-relay team won the event (3:19.51) while the 4x100-relay team was second (42.10).
On the women's side, Alexandra Moffatt (Smithville, Texas/Smithville) placed fifth in the pole vault (3.50m) and Aicha Elola (Jersey City, N.J./Lincoln) finished eighth in the shot put (12.08). The women's 4x100-relay team finished third (50.10) and the 4x400-relay team placed fifth (4:20.81).
Saint Peter's returns to action on Saturday and Sunday the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Track and Field Championships.
