Second Half Rally Sends Manhattan Past Men's Soccer

RIVERDALE, NY – Saint Peter's men's soccer team gave up two goals in the second in a 2-1, defeat to the Manhattan College Jaspers on Saturday night.

 

Luke Fairlamb scored the first goal of the game with a right-footed blast that came with 14 seconds remaining in the first half. The goal was the fifth on the season for Fairlamb, which leads the team. He now has 13 points on season, which ranks in the top five of the conference.

 

The Jaspers got goals in the second half from Tarek Beckles at the 65th minute and Troy Carrington at the 79th minute.

 

Jamie Cleland made nine saves in goal in the contest.

 

The Peacocks will be back home on Wednesday, October 12 at 3:00 p.m. against Niagara.
