Box Score WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – The Saint Peter's women's soccer team fell to hOURglass rival, Monmouth University, 8-0, on Saturday night. The Peacocks fall to 0-3 in MAAC play.
The shutout loss is the fifth straight for the Peacocks, as the team falls to 1-7-1. Monmouth used a seven goal first half, including three within the first 10 minutes of action to edge the Peacocks.
Monmouth posted a 25-2 shot advantage and 16-1 corner kick advantage in the win over the Peacocks. Barbara Paiva posted the lone shot on goal for the Peacocks.
Taylor McLean recorded five saves in the first 45 minutes of action, and Kelly Jamison made two stops in the final 45.
The Peacocks are back in action on October 5, when they travel to Fairfield.
