PRINCETON, N.J. - Members of the Saint Peter's track and field team competed at the IC4A/ECAC Outdoor Championships over the weekend.
In his second appearance at an IC4A/ECAC Championship, Jermaine Lascelles (Bloomfield, Conn. / Bloomfield) finished 13th-overall in the 400-meter run with a time of 48.53-seconds. The tandem of Michael Marcano (Roselle, N.J. / Roselle Catholic), Brandon Kelly (Newark, N.J. / Union Catholic), Jamel Presley and Dexter Valley placed in the top-20 in the 4x100 relay with a 43.19-second effort. Presley also competed in the 110-meter hurdles, placing 28th overall with a 15.09-second perfomance.
Nkeka Pinhiero (Ajax, Ontario / Ajax) was the lone female to compete for Saint Peter's in the Championships, finishing 21st in the 100-meter event. Pinheiro was making her first appearance at an IC4A/ECAC Championship. During the indoor season, she earned Corvias Division I Metro/Upstate ECAC Player of the Week honors for the week of Dec. 9-14 for her performance in the 200-meter dash.
