Saint Peter's scored the game's first two runs in the first inning. Koch opened the game with a leadoff double down the right field line. Two batters later, Olmedo singled to right field to score Koch for the 1-0 lead. After stealing second and a groundout by the next batter, Francesca D'Amato (Lyndhurst, N.J. / Immaculate Conception) hit a RBI-double to give the Peacocks a 2-0 advantage.

Army got on the board in the bottom of the inning following a base hit to left field. McCravey scored on the play, following a throwing error to cut the margin.

The Black Knights got the offensive working in the fourth inning, scoring seven runs on five hits to take a 8-2 lead.

The Peacocks cut into the margin in the fifth inning, following a three-run double to left centerfield by Storms.

Rain continued to come down, calling the game in the fifth inning and cancelling the second game of the double dip.
