Word on the Terriers >> The St. Francis Terriers fell to Rider University 59-71 on Wednesday. Leah Fechko recorded a game-high with 23 points and 11 rebounds, for her first double-double of the season.

Last time out >> The Seawolves rallied past the Peacocks 69-35 in women's basketball action on Friday. Talah Hughes (Beacon, N.Y. / Beacon) and Bridget Whitfield (San Diego, Calif. / La Costa Canyon) paced the Peacocks, each scoring eight points. Hughes tallied three rebounds while Whitfield added three rebounds and one assist. Hala Mostafa (Cairo, Egypt / Modern Narmer Language School) tallied ten rebounds.

Last Season >> The Peacocks went 5-26 overall in 2014-15, averaging 50.6 points per game. Hala Mostafa (Cairo, Egypt / Modern Narmer Language School) scored a career-high 18 points to power Saint Peter's to a 66-58 upset victory over Marist on February 26, 2015.

Sophomore Sajanna Bethea (Levittown, Pa./Pennbury) has been named to the All-Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Preseason second-team. Bethea, who was named to the MAAC All-Rookie team as a freshman, paced the team in 2014-15 with 10.8 points and 7.3 rebounds per game. The 5-11 sophomore forward reached double figures in points 18 times in her freshman campaign, including posting double digits in her last six contests. Bethea notched a career-best 20 points in a 65-58 win against Niagara on Jan. 29, 2015 on ESPN3. She also registered eight double-doubles last season, including both games in the league postseason.

ESPN >> The Saint Peter's women's basketball team will be the first squad featured on ESPN3 when the squad travels to Manhattan on Jan. 21 for a 5 p.m. contest. The two teams split the season series last season with each team winning on the road.

Coach Coyle >> Pat Coyle enters her third season as the women's basketball Head Coach in 2015-16. She makes her return to the Metro Atlantic Conference (MAAC) after coaching Loyola from 1993-98 while also coming back to the New York metropolitan area. Coyle spent more than 10 years with the WNBA's New York Liberty, including five plus seasons as the head coach. She comes to Jersey City after serving as Agnus Berenato's Associate Head Coach at Pittsburgh for the last two seasons. Coyle joined the Panthers staff in 2010-11 as an assistant coach to help Pittsburgh advance to the Big East Tournament second round in her first season in Pittsburgh before being elevated to Associate Head Coach in her second season.
