Track & Field Competes At The ECAC/IC4A Outdoor Championships

PRINCETON, N.J. – Members of the Saint Peter's track and field team competed at the ECAC/IC4A Outdoor Championships over the weekend.

Isaiah Harris (Orange, N.J./Immaculate Conception) finished third in the men's triple jump with a leap of 15.12-meters. In the high jump, Harris tied for 11th, posting a jump of 2.04-meters.

Sunita Kumar (Munich, Germany/Gymnasium Kirchheim) competed in the women's heptathlon, where she finished 13th overall. In the 100M hurdles, Kumar finished seventh with a time of 14.96 seconds. In the women's high jump, Kumar placed eighth with a 1.56-meter effort. In the shot put, she posted a toss of 10.29-meters. Kumar finished 15th in the 200M dash with a sprint of 27.15 seconds. In the javelin throw, Sunita used a 35.56-meter toss to notch a fourth place finish. In the final heptathlon event, Kumar placed 13th in the 800M run with a time of 2:47.36.

Lance Weaver (Piscataway, N.J./Piscataway High School) competed in the men's 800M run, where he finished 31st in the preliminary round with a time of 1:53.82. Steffany Laureano (Brentwood, N.Y./Brentwood) represented Saint Peter's in the women's 400M run, but was disqualified due to a lane violation.

Harris is set to compete in the NCAA Eastern Region Outdoor Championships in Jacksonville, Fla. on May 29-31. Harris will compete in both the triple jump and high jump events.
