PRINCETON, N.J. – The Saint Peter's track and field team competed in both the Liberty Collegiate and Sam Howell Invitationals on Saturday.
At the Liberty Collegiate Invitational, Isaiah Harris (Orange, N.J./Immaculate Conception) became an ECAC/IC4A qualifier in the high jump with his first place effort of 2.04-meters.
Jennifer Cajou (Amityville, N.Y./Farmingdale High School) placed 18th in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.15-seconds. Cajou also placed fourth in the triple jump with a leap of 11.38-meters. Gina Nocerino (Wantagh, N.Y./General Douglas MacArthur) notched a top-15 performance in the 400-meter dash with a run of 1:02.47. Natalia Carvalho (Naugatuck, Conn./Naugatuck) finished seventh in the 1500-meter run with a 5:14.19 effort.
Sunita Kumar (Munich, Germany/Gymnasium Kirchheim) recorded a seventh place finish in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.43 seconds. Shona Potruzski (Pitman, N.J./Pitman) came in sixth place in the 400-meter hurdles with a 1:04.21 performance.
At the Sam Howell Invitational, Lance Weaver (Piscataway, N.J./Piscataway High School) placed 15th in the 1500-meter run, notching a time of 4:03.60. Weaver finished 26th in the 800-meter event with a 1:56.45 performance. Dexter Valley (West Orange, N.J./West Orange High School) notched a top-10 finish in the 400-meter dash with a run of 49.67 seconds.
Ieshawn Johnson (Long Island, N.Y./Baldwin) finished eighth in the Discus Throw with a toss of 46.28-meters.
The squad returns to action Apr. 12, when the team will travel south to compete in the George Mason Invitational.
