Box Score STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – Wagner defeated Saint Peter's 13-7 in non-conference baseball action on Thursday.
Rob Moore (Ridge, N.Y./Longwood) paced the Peacocks (10-22) with two hits and three RBIs while Chris Hugg (Ironia, N.J./Randolph) added two hits and two RBIs and Michael Wulff (Madison, N.J./Madison) posted two hits, two runs scored and an RBI in the loss.
Nick Dini powered the Seahawks (9-22) with four hits, three runs scored and three RBIs. Shaun Flynn tallied four hits, three RBIs and two runs scored and Jason Gordon registered three hits, two runs scored and two RBIs in the winning effort.
Saint Peter's jumped out to an early lead before Wagner scored eight unanswered runs and went on for a 13-7 victory.
After the Peacocks took a 2-0 lead, the Seahawks scored four times in the third to take the lead it would not relinquish.
Flynn tied the game at 2 on a two-run single up the middle. Dini then scored on an error before John Lynn capped the four-run outburst with an RBI single to right field.
Wagner then added four runs in the fourth to increase its margin to 8-2 thanks to a Gordon sacrifice fly to center, a Dini RBI single up the middle, Dini touching home on a wild pitch and a Lynn RBI single.
Saint Peter's came back with a run in the fifth. Jon Kristoffersen (Jefferson, N.J./Jefferson Township) reached on a single to the pitcher and came around to score on Hugg's RBI single to right center to trim the margin to 8-3.
The Seahawks answered with a three runs in the fifth. Nick Mascelli hit a run-scoring single through the left side before Dini plated a run on a fielder's choice and Flynn singled home a run for an 11-3 lead.
The Peacocks came back with a three-run sixth to trim the margin to 11-6. Nick Henriquez (Paramus, N.J./Paramus) started the rally with a double and scored on Wulff's RBI single to right center. After Nick Cardamone (Freehold, N.J./FreeholdTownship) singled through the left side and Kristoffersen walked, Moore plated Wulff and Cardamone on a two-run single to right center.
Gordon smacked an RBI single to left field and Dini doubled home a run in the sixth to give Wagner a 13-6 advantage.
Saint Peter's added a run in the eighth to set the final score at 13-7. Zach Rawson (Ashburn, Va./Broad Run) singled through the right side and came around to score on an error.
The Peacocks grabbed a 2-0 advantage thanks to a two-run third. Wulff singled to left center and Kristoffersen hit a double to put runners at second third with two outs. Moore and Hugg followed with consecutive RBI infield singles for the early lead, but the Seahawks then scored the next eight runs on went on for the 13-7 win.

The Peacocks return to action on Saturday when they start a three-game series against Quinnipiac. The two teams will play a nine-inning game followed by a seven-inning affair starting at 12 p.m.
