WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – Jermaine Lascellas (Bloomfield, Conn./Bloomfield) earned ECAC/IC4A qualifying marks in the 500-meter dash at the 6th Annual MAC Classic hosted by Monmouth University.
The freshman clocked a time of 1:06.13 in the event, which coverted to flat track standards,times the run at 1:05.13, which betters the 1:05.20 standard. On Saturday, earned an ECAC/IC4A qualifying mark in the high jump with a leap of 2.04 meters.
Dexter Valley (West Orange, N.J./West Orange High School) and Gadimi Dorielan (Fords, N.J./Colonia) finished third and fourth respectively in the 300-meter dash. Jarek Babb (Baldwin, N.Y./Baldwin) placed fourth in the 500-meter event with a time of 1:07.34. Karl Desil (Baldwin, N.Y./Baldwin Senior HS), Mohamed Merdan (Bayonne, N.J./County Prep) and John Paul Herrera (Bayonne, N.J./Bayonne) rounded out the top-10 finishes for the Peacocks.
Raquel Henderson (Ocean Twp, N.J./Ocean Township) notched a top-5 finish in the 500-meter dash with a 1:20.99 effort. Deborah Myrtil (Half Hollow Hills, N.Y./Half Hollow Hills) finished ninth in the event with a time of 1:25.58.
Saint Peter's returns to the track on January 10, when the team travels up to Connecticut to compete in the Yale Invitational.
