RIVERDALE, N.Y. – The Saint Peter's track and field team notched four first-place finishes at the Brother Jasper Invitational on Saturday.
Jamel Presley (Rochester, N.Y./Rahway High School) tallied his second consecutive first place finish in the 60-meter hurdles, clocking a time of 8.21 seconds. Jermanine Lascelles (Bloomfield, Conn./Bloomfield) also recorded his second straight first place finish in the high jump with a 2.04 meter effort.
Jennifer Cajou (Amityville, N.Y./Farmingdale High School) finished first in the long jump with a 5.16 meter performance. Nneka Pinheiro (Ajax, Ontario/Ajax) used a time of 26.34 in the 200-meter dash to earn the first place finish.
Kaela Culmer placed second in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 9.54 seconds. The Peacocks placed four top-6 finishes in the women's high jump. Alexandra Moffatt (Smithville, Tex./Smithville) and Paige Vicari (West Deptford, N.J./West Deptford) each recorded personal-bests in the pole vault, finishing second and third respectively. Shenell Garner (Cocoa Beach, Fla./Cocoa Beach) finished third in the weight throw with a toss of 14.37 meters.
Michael Marcano (Roselle, N.J./Roselle Catholic) notched a top-5 finish in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.10 seconds. Bobby McClinton (Jersey City, N.J./William Dickinson) placed second in the 400-meter dash with a run of 51.37. Kenny Aneke (Long Island, N.Y./Holy Trinity) recorded a third place effort in the shot put with a distance of 14.29 meters.
Saint Peter's returns to action tomorrow when the team travels down to Monmouth to compete in the 6th Annual MAC Classic.
