Saint Peter's Men's Soccer Falls To Rider, 4-0

LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. – Rider downed Saint Peter's 4-0 in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) men's soccer action on Wednesday night.

David Giddings (Newburgh, N.Y./Newburgh Free Academy) made three saves for the Peacocks (3-11, 1-5 MAAC) while Luke Fairlamb (Northampton, England/Unity College) had a team-high six shots in the loss.

Zach Bond registered a hat trick by the Broncs (7-5-2, 4-3-0 MAAC) while Florian Valot also found the twine. David Pastuna made four saves and Devon Downs turned away two shots in the winning effort.

Rider scored twice in each have en route to the victory in an hOURglass Rivalry matchup.

Bond scored unassisted at the 17:27 mark to give the Broncs the early 1-0 lead before Valot found the back of the net off a Sonimi Halliday assist at the 24:18 for a two-goal lead at the break.

Bond recorded both tallies in the second half off a feed from Adrien Huss at 57:35 and off a pass from Jose Aguinaga at 59:26 to seal the 4-0 victory.

Fairlamb had four shots saved by a Broncs netminder in the match while Omar Crowl (Brooklyn, N.Y./Thomas Jefferson) and Rafa Braga (Union, N.J./Union) also had shots stopped by a Rider goalie on the night.

Saint Peter's returns to action at home against Quinnipiac on Saturday. Match time is 2 p.m.
