Men's Basketball MAAC Home Opener Against Manhattan Game Time Moved To 5 p.m.

JERSEY CITY, N.J. – The Saint Peter's men's basketball Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) home opener against Manhattan, scheduled for Thursday at the Yanitelli Center, has moved the game time to 5 p.m. due to impending weather scheduled to hit the Jersey City area on Thursday and Friday.

The Peacocks (4-7, 0-2 MAAC) are coming off a 67-59 win against Cornell on Saturday in the squad's final non-conference game of the season. Junior Marvin Dominique (Miramar, Fla./Miramar [Fordham]) paced the team with 26 points and 13 rebounds against the Big Red. Junior Desi Washington (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin [Delaware State]) and freshman Trevis Wyche (Neptune, N.J./Saint Peter's) each chipped in 11 points in the win. Dominique paces the team with 18.8 points and 10.2 rebounds per game.

The Jaspers (9-2, 2-0 MAAC), who have won six straight, are coming off an 84-81 overtime win against Buffalo on Dec. 21. Senior George Beamon paced the team with 22 points against the Bulls. Juniors RaShawn Stores and Ashton Pankey each added 10 points against Buffalo. Beamon leads the team with 21.3 points and 6.8 rebounds per game.

Thursday's tilt marks the 119th meeting in the all-time series dating back to the 1922-23 season. The Jaspers have won the last four meetings and hold a 70-48 advantage in the all-time series.
