ERVING, N.J.- The Saint Peter's University men's and women's track and field teams were well represented by a handful of participants this weekend, as select members competed in the Lions Invitational held by TCNJ.
Jamelia Johnson (Nutley, N.J./Passaic County Tech) led the women with two top-two finishes at the meet. The sophmore came in first in the Triple Jump with a standard of 11.96m.
Johnson was also the top collegiate finisher in the Long Jump, coming in second with a leap of 5.53m.
Shaena Wizzard also finished in the top-ten in the Long Jump event with an eighth place finish, and came in fifth in the Triple Jump.
Essence Rogers (entral Islip, N.Y./Bay Shore High School) and Morgan McLaughlin (Dunellen, N.J./Union Catholic Regional High School) finished third and fourth, respectively in the 100m Dash.
On the men's side, Isaiah Harris (Orange, N.J./Immaculate Conception) came away with a first place finish in the High Jump (2.03m), a fifth place finish in the Long Jump (6.62m) and a fourth place finish in the Triple Jump (13.67m).
The Peacocks return to the track for the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championships this weekend, May 4th and 5th.
