Edwards finished with 12 points, 12 rebounds for the Peacocks (2-25, 2-14 MAAC) en route to the second double-double of her career. The senior forward added four assists and two steals.

Holmes contributed 10 points and 10 rebounds to notch her second double-double of the year.

Aziza May (South Euclid, Ohio/Charles F. Bush) added 12 points and five assists.

The Broncs (14-13, 9-7 MAAC) were led by Caitlin Bopp's 19 points, 12 rebounds. Three other players finished in double-figures as well for Rider; Sirona Chambers (16), Carleigh Brown (10) and Mikal Johnson (10).

Saint Peter's managed to establish an early 12-11 lead seven minutes into the opening half, until an 11-1 Bronc run gave the visitors a nine-point advantage (22-13) they would maintain for the remainder of the contest.

The Peacocks cut the deficit to eight points in the next two minutes of play, but Rider went into the half-time break with a comfortable 14-point lead (40-26) after outscoring the hosts 14-8 in the final eight minutes of play.

Saint Peter's was able to cut the deficit to12 points five minutes into the second half, but could not get any closer.

Freshman Bridget Whitfield (San Diego, Calif./La Costa Canyon), finished the contest with six points on 2-4 shooting. The freshman guard drained her first three-point field goal attempt at the 13:47 mark of the first half; enabling her to tie the MAAC record for most consecutive treys made.

Whitfield went 9-9 over a span of two games, dating back to her 8-8 performance from long distance against the Siena Saints just two nights ago.

The standard was set by Heather Donlon of Fairfield who also accomplished the task over two games during the 1989-90 season.

Whitfield missed her 10th attempt, and the opportunity to set a new record, in the fifth minute of the first frame.

Saint Peter's will play in their final road contest of the 2012-13 season this Friday, as they travel to Poughkeepsie, NY for a 7pm match up against the Reigning MAAC Champions, Marist College.
