The Saint Peter's University women's soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision to Manhattan College in their first conference match of the year this evening. The Peacocks now drop to 1-10, 0-1 MAAC, while Manhattan improves 4-5, 1-0 MAAC.
Janine Schlauder scored two of the three Jaspers goals, one at 18:48 and the team's third at 62:41. Maritne Diamond netted the second Manhattan marker with five minutes left in the first half, netting a rebound that went off the crossbar.
Saint Peter's was outshot 19-10 and committed 8 fouls to the Jaspers' 10. Corner kicks were 7-0 in Manhattan's favor.
Amanda Feldstein recorded 4 of the Peacocks' 10 shots. Only 2 of Saint Peter's shots were on goal.
Caitlin Hoffer finished with 6 saves in the loss.
