The Saint Peter's College Peahens dropped a pair of MAAC games this afternoon to the Marist College Red Foxes. The Peahens dropped game one 5-2 and game two 6-3. Marist jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first game, scoring one in the first, two in the third and two in the fifth. Saint Peter's then scored a pair in the sixth on RBI hits by Chelsea Crews and Carolyn Griffin, but could get no closer. Crews and Michele Tinajero each went 2-3 in the opener. In game two, Saint Peter's jumped out on top with two in the first on a two run blast by Nicole Olmedo. Marist responded with one in the first, two in the second, one in the third and two in the fourth to take a 6-2 lead. The Peahens scored a solo run in the fifth as Shelby Beaver was credited with an RBI when she reached on a an error to make the final 6-3. Olmedo was 2-3 with two runs and two RBI. Saint Peter's will return to action tomorrow when they travel to face Siena.
