The Saint Peter's College Peahens (2-21) dropped a pair of games to the UMBC Retrievers (15-14) this afternoon, 10-3 and 7-2. In game one, UMBC scored four in the first and one in the third to open up a 5-0 lead. The Peahens got two back in the fourth as they scored a pair of unearned runs. UMBC added four more in the fifth, but Michele Tinajero got one of them back with a solo homer in the sixth. UMBC ended the scoring with a run in the sixth. In game two, Saint Peter's scored one in the third on an RBI single by Nicole Olmedo. UMBC then scored four in the bottom of the inning. The Peahens got one in the fifth, on an RBI groundout by Francesca D'Amato, but the Retrievers scored three in the bottom of the sixth to come away with the win. Saint Peter's will again play a DH against UMBC tomorrow.
