Indoor Track And Field Concludes Early Season At Haverford

The Saint Peter's University men and women track & field squads completed the early season portion of the indoor season this weekend at the Haverford Holiday Meet.

Sunita Kumar returned to competition and won the Shot Put with a toss of 11.17m. Kumar also participated in the Hurdles and Triple Jump events.

Morgan McLaughlin posted her best mark of the season in the Long Jump, with a score of 5.54 meters (18-2).

For the men, Jamel Presley won both the 60m in 7.06, and the 60 Hurdles (8.30). Jarrek Babb won the 200, while Tevin Cunningham took second in both the 200m (22.88) and the High Jump (6-1).

"This meet allowed us to make additional assessments, not only on our freshman, but our relay squads as well. It was also important and gratifying to see some of our key competitiors back in action after recovering from injuries", remarked Head Coach Mike Massone. "We have a clearer picture of the road ahead, and we are all looking forward to returning to action following the winter break"
