The Saint Peter's University volleyball team (1-30, 0-17 MAAC) fell in straight sets this afternoon to the Canisius College Golden Griffins (16-10, 13-3). The Peacocks were defeated by the scores of 19-25, 12-25, 11-25. With the win, the Griffs now sits tied with Fairfield for first place in the conference.
The Griffs finished the match with a scorching team hitting percentage of .554, compared to the Peacocks' .163. Samantha Good led the hosts to victory, tallying 13 kills on 18 attacks and recording just 1 error (.667). Good added 6 block assists in the match as well.
Saint Peter's was led by both Laura Reinhart and Lauren Behrens, who recorded 9 kills each. Kristina Baehr dished out 25 assists in the loss.
The Peacocks will conclude the 2012 season next Saturday, Novemeber 10th with a 7pm match at Manahttan College.
