The Saint Peter's University women's soccer team fell to Loyola University this afternoon by a score of 6-0. The Greyhounds scored 3 goals in each half. With the loss, the Peacocks fall to 1-11, 0-2 MAAC and Loyola improves to 6-4-3, 1-1 MAAC.
Nicole Schiro and Brittany Yancey each scored two goals a piece to lead the Greyhounds. Both of Schiro's goals came in the second half (55:14 and 62:15). Katelyn McFadden scored what would be the game winner, just 8 minutes into the opening frame on a shot from 20 yards out. Kelly Santagelo scored the third goal of the game for Loyola at the 30 minute mark.
The Peacocks were out-shot 28-7 in the game. 19 of the Greyhounds' shots were on goal, compared to 6 of Saint Peter's.
Saint Peter's returns to action this Sunday, as they host Rider at 1pm at Jaroschak Field.
