The Saint Peters' University volleyball team was swept by Fairfield University this afternoon (7-25, 24-26, 20-25). The Peacocks nearly pulled off a second set victory, leading 24-23, but the Stags rattled off three straight points to seal the victory.
Kristina Baehr finished with her sixth double-double of the year, tallying 19 assists and 13 digs.
Kassi Wirth and Brittany Smith tied for the team-high in kills, totalling 7 each. Jenny Pliska added a team-high 16 digs as well.
For the match, the Stags finished with a .248 hitting percentage to Saint Peter's .079.
The Peacocks return to action tomorrow afternoon, for their final home contest of the year against Iona College at 2pm. Senior Kassi Wirth will be honored prior to the beginning of the game.
