Saint Peter's found themselves in a hole early on in the first half, trailing 10-2. Both teams would however enter a scoring drought, as neither squad registered a basket from the 16 minute mark, until 10:41, when Lehigh's Kelly Peterson drained a trey to increase the Mountain Hawks lead to 13-2.
Aziza May scored the Peahen's first point in exactly eight minutes, with a two point field goal to bring SPC within nine at 13-4. Lehigh continued to forge forward, and established a 13-6 run to create a 16 point advantage, the largest of the half, at 26-10. Entering the second half, Lauren Morris connected on a three to start the scoring for both squads. Lehigh continued to score 7 consecutive points to make the score 35-21 in their favor, before either team again failed to score for an extended period of time. After a scoreless four and a half minutes, Aziza May converted a steal by Jesika Holmes into a layup, making the game 35-23.
Soon thereafter, an additional three minute scoring drought followed, until Saint Peter's Kristal Edwards made a three pointer off the assist from May, to bring the Peahens within 7- the closest they had been since the beginning of the half. The teams would exchange baskets, until Lehigh finally pulled away and established a comfortable double figure lead to close out the game.
