Brian Petruzzelli joined the men’s basketball staff at Saint Peter’s under Shaheen Holloway in the summer of 2018 as the Special Assistant to the Head Coach.
 
Petruzzelli comes to Saint Peter’s from Saint Louis University, where he served as a graduate assistant under head coach Travis Ford during the 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons. At Saint Louis he supported the assistant coaches in scouting of future opponents, prepared advanced written and video scouting reports of opponents, assisted coaches on the court during practice and individual workouts, coordinated on-campus recruiting activities, and monitored student-athlete academics.
 
Petruzzelli attended Montclair State University in Montclair, NJ. While an undergrad, he was an assistant varsity basketball coach at Governor Livingston High School in Berkeley Heights, NJ. Petruzzelli also worked several camps including Hoop Group Elite, Seton Hall, and George Washington basketball camps, he completed a strength and conditioning internship at George Washington University working with the men’s and women’s basketball teams, and he coached two years with the NJ Roadrunners AAU program. Petruzzelli played the 2010-11 season at Neumann University in Aston, PA additionally.
 
Petruzzelli graduated from Montclair State in May of 2016 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science. He earned a Master of Arts Degree in Student Personnel Administration from Saint Louis in May of 2018.
 
Petruzzelli is a native of Roselle Park, NJ, where he played boys’ basketball at Roselle Catholic High School.
