Sophomore men’s golfer Jeffrey Peters won the 2019 MAAC Men’s Golf Individual Championship during the month of April, becoming just the third player in program history to win the title. Peters took the lead over the individual field in the second round and finished the tournament with a final card of 69-74-72=215 (-1) en route to the 2019 individual crown and McLeod Trophy for the Most Outstanding Golfer (MVP). He was also the only golfer in the field to finish the three-round tournament under par. Peters’ combined two-round total of 143 was the fifth-best total in Peacock history at MAACs and his final card of 215 was the second-best ever final card for a Peacock at the championship, just three strokes behind the all-time low of 212. Additionally, he earned All-MAAC honors and helped guide Saint Peter’s to a runner-up finish at the championship.
